Foothills Church Vision Offering
Stand Firm • Live Generously • Impact Eternity
Invest In The Vision
We continue to see incredible growth at FC. Hundreds of children are being discipled every Sunday. Our Counseling Center has provided nearly 1,400 hours of biblical counseling this year. We’ve helped over 340 people find hope and healing in our Support Groups. Over 400 Students are showing up every week on Wednesday nights for worship, teaching, and small group time. And hundreds of first-time guests continue to walk through our doors to experience Jesus.
Giving over and above your regular tithe makes an impact for the Kingdom of God. Our Vision Offering fuels our 3 Impact Lanes: Projects, Multiplication, and Outreach.
Projects
The Project lane includes the brick-and-mortar projects that need to be done. As we grow, we need to continue to update and expand our physical facilities in Maryville. There are several projects that we would love to pursue this year through the Vision Offering. Not all of them are exciting or flashy, but they are needed. They include:
Parking Lot:
Our main parking lot needs to be resurfaced. And our prayer would be to obtain a Shuttle Bus and another golf cart to help transport people from our off-site parking lots.
Counseling Center:
Our goal is for a renovated entrance with a new sign and to pave the gravel parking lot to meet city codes.
Preschool Hallway:
Our hope is to replace and update the carpet in our Preschool environment.
Phase 5 Renovation:
Our children’s ministry (FC Kids) continues to grow and our K-5th graders all meet in the same space (The Next Gen Theater). While it works, it’s not very efficient. With the Phase 5 Renovation we want to be more strategic about how we develop our children. By renovating the Theater, and creating a 2nd floor over the hallway and lobby, we’ll be able to create rooms that specifically engage our 3-5th grade children, and in another environment engage our K-2nd grade children.
Creating more space will also allow us to the meet the needs of our special needs community. We are seeing an increase in the amount of children that need special attention. The truth is that our current space is not adequate to meet the needs that are out there, so in this new design, we plan to create specific areas that will allow families with special needs children to be cared for while mom and dad can participate in worship and serving opportunities.
By giving to the Vision Offering, you can help our church make these improvements and maintain the property God has blessed us with.
Multiplication
Everything we do is motivated by our call to make disciples of Jesus Christ. In Acts 1:8 Jesus said, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Our call is to first make disciples locally in our Jerusalem. For us that means Blount Country. But the call is also to extend into Judea and Samaria. That means Knoxville and the surrounding areas. And finally to the ends of the earth.
Knoxville Location:
This understanding is what fueled us to start our 2nd location. We have been 1 church in 2 locations for the last 5 years. This year, our Knoxville location needs to create more space for our growing children’s ministry. Depending on how much is given this year, we hope to allocate part of the Vision Offering to renovate that space.
Future Locations:
The church is where truth is preached, grace is extended, and people find purpose in Christ. When the church is healthy, the community changes, families are restored, and generations are impacted for eternity. The more Foothills Church can multiply, the better. So, we want to encourage you to pray with us as we prepare for a 3rd location in the coming years. Many partners already drive 30+ minutes to join us in Maryville, and God has put it on our hearts to provide another site to reach more people with the Gospel.
When you give to the Vision Offering, you’re multiplying disciples across Blount County, Knoxville, and beyond.
Outreach
We want to be a church that makes an impact outside the walls of our church building, in our community and beyond.
Local Outreach:
We partner with various local organizations, like the Pregnancy Resource Center, Foster and Adoption ministries, Orphan Care Ministries, organizations fighting human trafficking and homeless ministries (Full List of our Ministry Partners). We encourage our people to serve physically, but we also want to continue supporting these local ministry partners financially.
Global Outreach:
We’re committed to taking the gospel to the nations by supporting ministries that are doing incredible all over the world. We want to continue giving to the Cooperative Program of the SBC. Those resources plant churches in North America, support missionaries all over the word, help pastors get trained in seminaries, as well as provide disaster relief in TN and across the entire country.
This year, we will also continue giving and going to on trips to places like Vapor Ministries in Kenya, Africa, Engadi ministries in Guatemala, and Nations Church in Washington, D.C. with Pastor Greg. We’re also finalizing plans to offer at least 1 more global trip this year that we’ll announce soon. Our full list of Global partners can be found here.
When you give to the Vision Offering, you’re providing resources to send missionaries around the world and lowering costs so more partners can go.
Your Impact
Your generosity fuels all three of our impact lanes, not just one. Our goal this year is $1,000,000. This will move us further and faster as a church. The amount given will determine our ability to impact each lane. So, please pray that our church continues to make an impact for the Kingdom of God about how you can make an impact through our Vision Offering.
What Can I Do?
Pray:
Recently, we have noticed what seems to be a revival in the young adults across our country. It’s hard to know the impact right now, but more and more people are turning to Jesus, college students and teenagers are coming to faith in record numbers. Church attendance is growing, and there’s an excitement for the gospel that we haven’t seen before. Now is the time for us to be bold, to take risks, and to be all in as a church.
Please pray that our church would continue to make an impact for the Kingdom of God. Pray that we are able to welcome these people searching for hope, that we would have more opportunities to share the good news of Jesus, that we would be a church focused on finding connection in relational environments and that we can be equipped to go out and make disciples.
Give:
When you give to the Vision Offering, you’re not just giving to a project, you’re stepping into a story that God is writing through Foothills Church. Every gift is a declaration that we believe the gospel still changes lives, and that we’re willing to do our part.
So, lean in with faith. Be bold. Be generous. Trust that God can take what you give and multiply it in ways that bring people to Jesus. Let’s stand side by side for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and let’s celebrate as we watch Him work through our faithfulness.
When you give to the Vision Offering, you are helping fuel all three of our impact lanes. We trust the Lord for his guidance in discerning how to best use our resources to develop more disciples of Jesus Christ in relational environments.
There are so many ways for you to take your next step at FC. If you haven’t been, we’d love to invite you to the first class in our discipleship Journey called Basecamp. You can also learn more about joining a volunteer team or one of our small groups.
Our Vision Offering is an opportunity for you to make both a one-time gift and an ongoing commitment to give to the vision throughout the next year.
We would love for everyone to prayerfully consider how they can give by the last Sunday in November.
